December 31, 2011 - Louisville, Kentucky. Telecommunication Properties, Inc. (TPI) announced it has completed a major contract with SPRINT for advanced technology Distributed Antenna System . SPRINT will significantly improve service at KFC/YUM Center located in downtown Louisville from the DAS network operated by TPI. SPRINT plans to implement Long Term Evolution (LTE)/4G service at the new Louisville Arena. Jimmy Chiles stated, "our contract with SPRINT calls for the installation of nearly 180 antennas that will provide improved capabilities for the fans inside the stadium. We are excited and pleased with SPRINT's commitment with the project.
